Why Christians Should Refrain from judging Other Christians

We are all human and, therefore, quite fallible. No matter how well-meaning or how ‘studied’ or ‘educated’ we might believe ourselves to be, I can assure you there will be ‘holes’ in the theological leanings of the best of us.

It’s no different than asking a person from one profession to weigh in on the profession of another.

Whenever anyone begins to assume they’re ‘superior’ in some way to the ‘rest of us’ we can safely assume them to be on a path that deviates from Scripture in that SCRIPTURE itself admonishes us to trust God and God alone.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

Romans 3:4

We all have our own understanding concerning what we’re being led to believe. Sometimes we’re led by our past experiences, sometimes because of an area of study. This, in fact, is how many of us interpret the meaning of ‘the Living word’ that is, in essence, the very foundation of our understanding.

To criticize another’s understanding of Scripture and its place in our lives and our world is to potentially hurt new believers or people whose understanding is still in the novel stages. If a person sees themselves as a potential ‘leader’ It’s imperative that one lead, foremost, with love.
