Time: The Effect on Us [and Them] is the Same

We are only here for a limited time. Our animals — the worst aspect of animal husbandry — are here for an even shorter time.

God, though, has a purpose in all of this — and we learn through the process of caring for them the way that He cares for us: through experiencing all of the wonderful aspects of sharing our lives.

Caring for our animals, any species of animals, teaches us about our heavenly Father and his love for us. They share so many of the characteristics of humans. There’s laughter and uncertainty, injuries and pain, enthusiasm and ‘burn out’, health and illness, ultimately good-byes and death.

When we lose them, are they gone forever?

This is a question that, finally, comes down to Scriptural study and, the short answer, is NO, they’re not gone forever.

God, in His infinite wisdom, tells us in no uncertain terms, that our animals go home, as do we.
