Humans tend to take things for granted.
Animals represent the second greatest gift bestowed upon them by God, able to function equally well as both companion and laborer, providing men with a means to accomplish tasks he could not, physically, accomplish alone.
They have amazing intellect and many, many species are credited with saving the lives of various people — babies, small children, their own masters, the elderly — virtually anyone in need of assistance. And it’s not just domesticated animals that are recorded for having provided rescue as wild animals have been similarly credited with facilitating the survival of lost or incapacitated humans.
What — sparing God’s impressioning this compassion on their psyche– could account for a wild animal’s desire (much less their intellectual capacity) for helping humans?
